If you love Jane Austen, but want a bit more adventure and general silliness, this historical fantasy might be your next favorite read. Cecilia’s aunt is also hilarious, and adds a lot of dimension to the story. Lots of whimsy and great character chemistry (between Cecilia and a mysterious but caring pirate whose name might be Ned) that makes for a *swoon* romance. It’s a lot of fun, and they drink tons of pots of tea while getting into shenanigans fighting an evil captain who just happens to be the protagonist Cecilia’s estranged father.

The Wisteria Society of Lady Scoundrels was unlike anything I’ve read before. So if you’re a reader, you’re in luck! I am going to be sharing brief reviews along with my cups of tea, of the very eclectic variety literature (and sometimes, board books) I tick of my TBR list. But then I realized, this is my space, and it does not have to be super formal, and I do not have to write long form articles when I do not have the time to. I honestly was struggling to think of where I wanted to go with my blog, so for a year, I posted nothing at all. I have been focusing on spending the little downtime I do have reading, with my daughter, and on my own. Hello, I have returned! I have been extremely busy as a full-time work-from-home mom.
